January/February/March 2007 Very good winter Steelhead fishing. Some double digit days, double hookups, and one beautiful eighteen pounder. November/December 2006 Water levels were very fishable in November when the bulk of the Chinook run went through on both the Elk and Sixes Rivers. The boat traffic increased in December and the number of fish decreased. Decent fishing but not like November. August/September/October 2006 Good ocean Chinook fishing in August and even September. Halibut fishing remained good as well. Fall Chinook fishing was real spotty in the Bays. The only bright spots were some good upriver bobber fishing and some real good action between the jetties. The Coho showed up in good number in late September/October with some double digit days. June/July 2006 Good ocean Chinook fishing in June and July. Mostly 8 to 12 miles out. Halibut fishing remained good as well. April/May 2006 Spring Chinook fishing was a bust in April and May. Not worth the effort this year. Halibut fishing was very good.
